The Environmental Services Technician performs a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the healthcare facility to ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in promoting a healthy and hygienic environment conducive to patient healing and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks in assigned areas of the healthcare facility.
- Follow infection control standards and regulatory requirements to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Adhere to written and verbal instructions while completing duties.
- Interact with patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- No formal education or experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior hospital environmental services experience.
- Experience following written and verbal instructions.
- Previous experience performing manual tasks.
- Prior customer service experience working with the public.
