Environmental Services Tech

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and stock patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas according to established procedures.
• Remove and dispose of linens and waste streams.
• Perform interim and restorative maintenance to hard floors, carpets, and upholstery following procedures.
• Assemble, maintain, and store equipment and supplies necessary to complete tasks according to department standards.
• Communicate and collaborate with team members to ensure continuity and coordination of services.
• Report general maintenance and specialized cleaning requirements in the work area.
• Assist visitors and employees in navigating the hospital to reach their destination.
• Work within one cleaning area and may be expected to work across department sites for coverage and business needs.
• Actively participate in safety initiatives and risk-mitigating measures; complete all position and unit safety-related competencies and requirements on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to read and follow instructions.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Preferred: Public service and/or customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial setting.
