About the role

This Environmental Service role will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining safe and clean environments for patients, staff, and visitors by primarily cleaning procedural areas that are established by the department.
  • Providing excellent customer services when working with patients, visitors and other staff members, and that as a Environmental professional you will have industry knowledge in the cleaning of specific departments such as the Emergency Department, Operating Rooms and other unique procedural areas.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safe and clean environments for patients, staff, and visitors by primarily cleaning procedural areas that are established by the department.
  • Provide excellent customer services when working with patients, visitors and other staff members.
  • Have industry knowledge in the cleaning of specific departments such as the Emergency Department, Operating Rooms and other unique procedural areas.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills; ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Can distinguish the differences between levels of disinfection and perform low and intermediate level disinfection.
  • Ability to explain orally or in writing the differences between levels of disinfection and perform intermediate level disinfection in areas where required.
  • Ability to operate necessary equipment/machines.
  • Effectively uses computers and mobile devices.
  • Respectfully listens to viewpoints and ideas of others.
  • Communicates orally or in writing openly and candidly, creates an environment where co-workers and team members reciprocate in kind.
  • Able to work without close supervision.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license.
  • Must have a valid CPR certification.
  • Must have a valid First Aid certification.
  • Must have a valid Food Handler certification.
  • Must have a valid OSHA 10 certification.

Skills

Pay

The posted compensation range of $18.00 - $26.83 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.

Schedule

This role operates on a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule, alternating weekends and holidays.
