Environmental Services Team Leader

Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of Departmental/Hospital assigned areas.
• Ensure Standards of Appearance.
• Daily supervision of all Environmental Technicians.
• Conduct multiple daily rounds.
• Contact Nurse Managers or Supervisor in charge of assigned floor or area for updates.
• Perform assigned Patients Surveys and process Improvements and Quality Inspection Per Department Standards.
• Inspect areas of accountability daily and generate work orders to Engineering.
• Anticipate and maintain staffing patterns daily based upon volume and approved labor standards.
• Operate all equipment in the department as evident on observation.
• Ensure staff has adequate equipment and supplies to effectively accomplish their work assignments.
• Demonstrate proper controls and usage of supplies and ensure proper use and care of all equipment.
• Ensure all equipment is in working order and has received preventive maintenance as per manufacturers recommendations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Department and Hospital Policies and Procedures.
• Demonstrate effective delegation and follow up skills.
• Demonstrate effective knowledge when using the Bed tracking System.
• Responsible for all pagers if not returned.

Qualifications

• No License/Registration/Certification required.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Five years' experience as a team leader, lead person or environmental services project specialist, in a commercial/industrial sanitation or health care related field or customer service-related business.
