Environmental Services Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversight of team members and assignment of cleaning duties.
• Aid in the supervision of various aspects of the department.
• Collaborate with managers and supervisors to align with department and Saint Anthony Hospital's mission, goals, and objectives.
• Participate in the interview process, evaluate, and recommend termination of Environmental Services personnel.
• Train and supervise all Environmental Services staff within one's span of control.
• Report unsafe conditions and conduct research to enhance EVS technology.
• Attend regular staff meetings and communicate with members of other departments to coordinate EVS activities.
• May serve on facility-wide committees.
• Conduct daily rounds in all areas under one's span of control.
• Schedule major projects and ensure adequate staffing and supplies for tasks.
• Manage supplies and ensure team members have necessary equipment.
• Conduct regular inventory of housekeeping supplies and collaborate with leadership on ordering.
• Assist with cleaning areas as needed to ensure full coverage.
• Follow SAH cleaning procedures and best practices.
• Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital.
• Assist team members and management as needed to support efficient operations.

Requirements

• Three to five years of experience in relevant field and supervisory experience.
• Appropriate clinical or technical competence in relevant area.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Effective communication skills (interpersonal and group, assertiveness, conflict resolution, etc.).
• Organizational and planning skills (prioritization, time management, initiative, follow through).
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Preferred: Associates or Bachelors degree.

Preferred: Bilingual.
