Environmental Services Supervisor
Amira Choice Minnetonka is a 100-unit community offering Independent and Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Care Suites. Located minutes from The Ridgedale Mall, St Louis Park, and near Highways 394 and 494 with access to public transportation, our community is managed by Ebenezer and supported by a dedicated team of caregivers.
About the role
This Environmental Services Supervisor position oversees preventative maintenance programs, repairs building systems and equipment, and supervises housekeeping staff. The role includes additional oversight and support through a Campus or Corporate team.
Schedule
80 hours every two weeks, day shift: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a Preventative Maintenance Program, including:
- Repairing deficient items identified through maintenance or work orders.
- Facilitating maintenance and repairs using internal and external resources.
- Establishing and following a Preventative Maintenance Program via an electronic work management platform or CMMS.
- Changing filters and checking belts on air handle units.
- Inspecting kitchen equipment.
- Assisting with moving boxes, furniture, and similar tasks.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly shop.
- Removing snow from sidewalks, applying ice melt, and trimming bushes, trees, and sidewalks.
- Keeping grounds safe, neat, and attractive.
- Supervise housekeeping staff:
- Provide clear work direction, training, and ongoing support.
- Manage staff performance and deliver feedback.
- Maintain housekeeping schedules and conduct performance reviews.
- Order and manage inventory of supplies.
- Perform housekeeping duties as needed:
- Complete daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing restrooms.
- Perform deep room cleans.
- Provide 24/7 emergency on-call response for the entire campus on a rotating schedule.
- Ensure timely and efficient turnover of apartments:
- Coordinate with the team to discuss needs.
- Perform or arrange painting, cleaning, carpeting, and apartment updates.
- Update the Executive Director on apartment turnover status and needs.
- Promote a safe environment for staff, residents, and visitors:
- Identify concerns through regular building and grounds inspections.
- Conduct and track community emergency drills.
- Implement fire safety practices and procedures in adherence to NFPA code.
- Maintain Ebenezer van/bus:
- Review and complete vehicle requirements.
- Maintain logs of transportation services and schedule regular maintenance.
- Practice safe judgment when operating vehicles.
- Follow all traffic laws and report violations or accidents immediately.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of relevant experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High level of customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be on call at least 50% of non-scheduled work time each month.
- Current driver’s license in good standing.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be insurable under the employer’s auto insurance coverage.
- Must complete and pass an in-house transportation curriculum and driving evaluation within 30 days.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate of Applied Science degree or vocational/technical training in industrial energy or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel).
- Special Boiler License (Class 2-C Boiler License).

Pay
An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by factors such as skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
