Environmental Services Lead

About the role

The Environmental Services Lead is responsible for the physical appearance and total environment of assigned areas. This position executes and oversees cleaning duties of patient care areas, work areas, and general public areas as assigned, and also oversees staff for one shift in the absence of a Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Executes and oversees cleaning duties of patient care areas, work areas, and general public areas as assigned.
• Oversees staff for one shift in the absence of a Supervisor.
• Captures and updates all staffing schedules, training requirements, and PM project lists.
• Establishes and maintains good communication with all department customers and monitors quality on a daily basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successfully completed Level III program within one year of entry into the Lead role.
• Satisfactorily performed the job of Environmental Services Worker or equivalent in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Healthcare Environmental Services knowledge required.
• Working knowledge of E/S floor machines and typical housekeeping equipment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to train staff and present classroom materials.
• Basic familiarity with computers and the ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
