Environmental Services Associate

Cleaning Duties

• Collects and removes trash from assigned areas.
• Sanitizes all surfaces in assigned patient and public areas daily.
• Stocks paper items, cleaning solutions, and other supplies in assigned areas as needed.
• Disposes of normal and biohazardous waste according to facility standards.
• Cleans and disinfects areas containing bodily fluids in accordance with facility standards.
• Documents all work performed.

Bed Management

• Utilizes Bed Management system to maintain productive flow of beds.
• Uses hand-held technology for tracking bed movements.

Equipment and Supplies

• Operates cleaning/trash cart and janitorial supplies.
• Collects and stages soiled linen for pick-up.
