About the role
The Environmental Service Technician position at Main Line Health's Hospitals offers a variety of shifts including first, second, and third shifts, every other weekend, and rotating holidays. Full time and part time opportunities are available, along with benefits for those working 20 hours a week or more.Responsibilities
- Clean and supply patient rooms, remove soiled linen units, nursing stations, lounges, lavatories, common areas, floors, public bathrooms, offices, and any other areas assigned.
- Perform floor care: dry and wet mop floors, buff floors with a buffing machine, and burnish floors with a burnishing machine.
- Handle refuse removal: collect and transport trash, remove soiled linen and red waste according to Main Line Health standards.
- Carry out facility cleaning tasks such as washing walls, hanging cubicle curtains, cleaning stairwells, and performing any other assigned projects.
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service to patients, visitors, and co-workers.
- Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and report any machine malfunctions.
- Report need for repairs of hospital equipment, furniture, fixtures, etc.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of environmental services procedures and safety protocols.
