About the role
Join our team as an Environmental Scientist in Mt. Laurel, NJ. Responsibilities
- Conduct investigations related to site remediation, particularly in NJ, NY, PA, DE, and MD (but not limited to these states).
- Interpret regulations and guidance documents.
- Conduct Due Diligence investigations.
- Supervise and document field studies.
- Collect and manage environmental samples.
- Interpret and manage field and laboratory data.
- Coordinate subcontractors.
- Interact with state and federal regulators.
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain field equipment.
- Conduct aquifer testing.
- Prepare reports, maps, and annotated findings using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS.
- Work in various terrains and environments throughout the year.
- Travel occasionally during the work week, including moderate travel (typically 1 to 20 hours per week) and occasional long-distance travel with overnight stays.
Requirements
- 2+ years of environmental or geologic consulting experience.
- BS in Geology (preferred), Earth Science, Environmental Science, or Environmental/Civil Engineering.
- Geologist-In-Training Certification (a plus).
- OSHA 40 HAZWOPER training with annual 8-hour refreshers.
- OSHA 8-hour HAZWOPER Supervisor training.
- Familiarity with NJ, NY, and PA site remediation regulations, guidance documents, and forms.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and AutoCAD (a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter and team player.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related communications and instructions.
- Willingness to absorb on-the-job training for geophysical surveying, hydrogeologic testing, and environmental sampling.

Pay
$64,890 – $82,635 per year (depending on qualifications).
