Environmental Project Specialist
About the role
The Project Specialist supports work on the space coast of Florida, assisting clients such as Disney, Publix, Mosaic, SeaWorld, OUC, FDEP, FDOT, US Coast Guard, Blue Origin, and SpaceX.
Responsibilities
- Attends site walks to prepare reports for bidding opportunities.
- Affords cost estimates to internal stakeholders.
- Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on complex projects.
- Provides technical advice and coordination to project managers, project leads, or other stakeholders.
- Identifies and provides support with scope of work changes for the Project Manager and Project Lead.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices through continued professional development.
- Communicates customer issues to stakeholders to improve the customer experience, including resolving problems and concerns.
- Responds to after-hours emergency response calls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, or Technical Certification and 3 years of experience in environmental or remediation projects, preferred.
- Experience with field services in another industry will be considered.
- Strong interpersonal skills to support the Management Team in negotiation and problem-solving functions.
- An aptitude for construction and mechanical assembly.
- A general working knowledge of tools, excavation, and remediation equipment.
- Excellent judgment and discretion; ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and manage work-related obligations.
- Maintains an enthusiastic attitude; able to motivate and inspire the team to ensure all team members have a positive attitude, make a positive contribution, and exemplify positive teamwork.
- Remain calm and professional in all situations.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders in a professional and respectful manner.
- Must be able to work independently and productively with little to no supervision.
- Recognize problems, identify potential causes, and implement corrective actions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
