About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Environmental Project Manager with experience managing both large and small environmental projects within the power and energy sector. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, growing team delivering impactful solutions in a rapidly evolving industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage environmental permitting, applications, agency coordination, public meetings, and stakeholder engagement.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across complex energy projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Direct site selection and route evaluation for transmission, distribution, and generation facilities.
- Partner with local, state, and federal agencies; provide strategic guidance on state filing requirements.
- Prepare and manage Public Utility Commission/Public Service Commission applications, including expert testimony.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and contractors across the full project lifecycle.
- Engage with clients, agencies, landowners, and internal partners through strong stakeholder management skills, including public meetings and community outreach.
- Develop and lead proposals, define scopes, budgets, schedules, and client relationship growth.
- Promote innovation, operational efficiency, and best practices across project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Ecology, Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience managing environmental projects in the energy sector (transmission, generation, renewables, or pipelines).
- Demonstrated expertise in permitting, siting and routing, impact assessments, and regulatory compliance in TX, LA, AR, OK, NM, or MS.
- Experience preparing and managing Public Utility Commission/Public Service Commission applications, including expert testimony.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and contractors across the full project lifecycle.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including public meetings and community outreach.
- Track record of successful proposal development, client growth, and project leadership.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
