About the role

GHD is seeking an Environmental Project Coordinator to join our Contamination Assessment and Remediation Group. This role supports Project Managers and Project Directors in executing major mining and oil & gas projects.

Responsibilities

  • Nurture solid client relationships
  • Help plan and coordinate site assessments
  • Perform analysis of environmental data
  • Develop environmentally responsible solutions to meet regulatory obligations
  • Collaborate with a team of Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Project Directors, and Technical Leads
  • Provide field and office mentoring to junior environmental practitioners
  • Afford project resourcing, systems, and processes to ensure timely delivery of services meeting client requirements and budgets
  • Report to the Business Group Leader on both federally regulated and provincially regulated projects for several clients
  • Engage with industry networks and work with Project Managers and Project Directors to enhance the client experience
  • Maintain health, safety, quality, and environment key performance indicators and behaviors
  • Create multistakeholder solutions that boost creativity, innovation, and collaboration across business units

Requirements

  • Bachelor and/or master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, Geology or related discipline
  • PE or PG license (a plus)
  • 3 to 7 years of experience with contaminated site assessments, remediation, and reclamation
  • Experience working on mining and/or oil & gas projects (preferred)
  • Expertise in field assessments, technical reporting, and project management
  • Valid driver's license

Qualifications

  • Pre-employment medical and drug screenings required
  • Salary range: $66,000 - $82,500 based on experience and location
