About the role
We are seeking an Environmental Professional to join our team at the Silver Peak site. This position is based in-person in Silver Peak, Nevada.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and corporate policies
- Manage and dispose of waste products
- Reclaim land disturbed by operations
- Mitigate the site's impact on wildlife
- Mitigate pollutants and effluents (air/water) affecting the environment
- Manage special purpose grants and licenses
- Conduct root cause investigations and establish corrective actions
- Conduct internal audits
- Conduct process hazard analyses
- Manage a Management of Change system
- Work with the HSE manager and corporate HSE to address gaps in environmental management or process safety
Requirements
- Experience with MSHA or OSHA compliance
- 2+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, petroleum industry, or mining
- Bachelor’s Technical Degree or equivalent experience in a comparable role
PREFERRED
- Experience with environmental compliance management, particularly in Nevada
- Expert-level knowledge of safety standards and best practices
- Experience with root cause investigation, process hazard analysis, management of change, and environmental or safety auditing
- Ability to lead and manage continuous improvement
- Strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
