Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple complex cases concurrently.
  • Initiate affirmative steps and strategic oversight to bring cases to conclusion.
  • Prepare and litigate cases from start to finish with a sense of urgency.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings and complex motions and responses.
  • Manage discovery, including propounding and responding to written discovery, analyzing produced documents, and managing the flow of discovery.
  • Identify and retain experts, assist in report preparation and submission.
  • Take and defend depositions of plaintiff parties, lay witnesses, experts and corporate witnesses.
  • Perform legal research, author briefs, and argue motions.
  • Participate and lead in hearings and complex trials in many states.
  • Participate in case strategy discussions and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on cases.

Qualifications And Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law.
  • 10+ years of experience in litigating all aspects of complex cases.
  • Environmental/Toxic Torts experience preferred.
  • Class action and multidistrict litigation experience.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills with proven success.
  • Proven results in an active litigation role.
  • Experience managing multiple complex cases concurrently.
  • Documented experience preparing and litigating cases from start to finish with a sense of urgency.
  • Experience litigating in both state and federal courts.
  • Experience managing discovery, including propelling and responding to written discovery, analyzing produced documents, and managing the flow of discovery.
  • Experience taking and defending depositions of plaintiff parties, lay witnesses, experts and corporate witnesses.
  • Hearing and trial experience; excellent oral presentation skills.
  • Reliable, timely completion of tasks.
  • Experience mentoring, managing, and developing junior team members in a collaborative professional environment.
  • Compassion in communicating with clients.
  • Proficiency in Adobe, Excel, Microsoft Office, Outlook.
  • Familiarity with E-Discovery and law programs such as, Sharefile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, Lexis, Smart Advocate, Everlaw, FileVine, OneLegal.

Pay And Schedule

Salary And Benefits: $200,000- $250,000 annually. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualifications for the role.
