Environmental Health Safety Specialist

Responsibilities
- Partner with plant leadership across multiple facilities to drive safety initiatives, environmental programs, employee training, and risk reduction efforts.
- Build a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
- Train employees on safety protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Support the development of safety-related metrics and reporting.
- Work closely with management to develop and implement safety improvement plans.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in safety or EHS within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and industry-specific safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of HSE management systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Valid driver's license.
- Pass a background check.
Skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with safety software and tools.
