About the role

Novonesis is expanding its production capabilities at its West Allis, WI site and is strengthening its Health & Safety function to ensure a safe, compliant, and proactive working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing health and safety programs to support a safe manufacturing environment.
  • Conducting safety training in line with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Leading incident investigations and supporting corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conducting and maintaining job hazard analyses.
  • Assisting with industrial hygiene surveys and employee programs such as fire prevention, emergency response, evacuation planning, and ergonomics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety or a related technical field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in a technical or manufacturing setting.
  • Working knowledge of applicable standards and frameworks, including OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and related regulations.
  • Strong time management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in English.

Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as CSP, ARM, ALCH, or CIH.
  • Experience supporting industrial hygiene programs or ergonomics initiatives.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement in safety practices.

Skills

  • Technical foundation and hands-on experience in health and safety within a manufacturing or technical environment.

Pay

Expected base salary: USD $70,000–$80,000, depending on experience.

Schedule

This role is office-based at our West Allis, WI site. Regular interaction with production and operations areas is expected. Travel is approximately 10%, primarily related to training or site support activities.
