Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages regulated waste management programs to include implementing safe, compliant hazardous materials and regulated waste operations and shipment of Dangerous Goods.
  • May supervise EHS personnel performing regulated waste management activities.
  • Provides technical guidance to the University community in relation to regulated waste to include RCRA hazardous waste, universal waste, regulated medical waste and pathological waste.
  • Develops and manages waste management programs to prevent and correct non-compliance conditions.
  • Designs, conducts and coordinates training and education in area of specialization.

Qualifications

  • Level II: Degree in Environmental Science, Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Biological Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry or a related field + 10 years of experience
  • Level III: High school diploma or equivalent + 12 years of experience or Bachelor's degree + 4 years of experience or Master's degree + 2 years of experience

Scope of Experience

Experience in health and safety regulatory compliance enforcement.
