About the role

BASX, a leading manufacturer of custom HVAC solutions, is seeking talented individuals to join its dynamic and growing team. The company partners with various industries, including data centers, clean rooms, and surgery centers, to solve complex challenges through innovative HVAC solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support production operations by rotating between assembly, piping, electrical, finishing, testing, and wrapping positions.
  • Conduct regular safety and environmental audits to identify risks and ensure compliance.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and supervisors.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update EHS documentation, including permits, reports, and training records.
  • Monitor hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal in accordance with regulations.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and environmental reporting.
  • Aid in the development of emergency response plans and lead drills.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to integrate safety into daily processes.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field; 3+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety compliance, auditing, or program administration, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives preferred.

  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations and occupational safety standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and reference federal regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with standard office productivity software.
  • Ability to develop clear policies, reports, and training materials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to recommend practical solutions.
  • Ability to diplomatically communicate constructive feedback.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to time-sensitive issues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to present information to small-to-medium-sized groups.
