About the role
Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s comprehensive EHS program and ensure compliance with applicable OSHA regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine safety inspections of production areas and identify unsafe conditions and practices.
- Perform job hazard analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor compliance with machine guarding, lockout/tagout, PPE, electrical safety, fall protection, and related requirements.
- Maintain required OSHA records, logs, postings, and documentation.
- Coordinate OSHA inspections and respond to OSHA inquiries and citations.
- Monitor workplace safety performance and develop improvement initiatives.
- Establish and monitor safety KPIs and leading/lagging indicators.

- Molten aluminum and high-temperature processes.
- Furnaces and melting operations.
- Burn and thermal hazards.
- Foundry equipment and machinery.
- Grinding, cutting, and finishing operations.
- Metal dust and airborne contaminants.
- Welding and hot work.
- Chemicals, solvents, coatings, and cleaning agents.
- Compressed gases and compressed air.
- Industrial trucks and material handling equipment.
- Crane and hoisting operations.
- Machine guarding.
- Noise exposure.
- Ergonomic risks.
- Chemical exposure and hazardous waste.
Industrial Hygiene
- Coordinate industrial hygiene assessments and exposure monitoring.
- Evaluate employee exposure to noise, dust, fumes, chemicals, and other workplace hazards.
- Coordinate air monitoring, noise monitoring, and other exposure assessments as necessary.
