Environmental, Health & Safety Manager

About the Role

The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is the strategic architect and operational champion of Weld-On's safety and environmental performance in Hartsville, TN. This role develops and implements EHS programs, procedures, training, and guidance documents for North America, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The EHS Manager will anticipate regulatory changes, identify emerging risks, and drive continuous improvement in a complex manufacturing environment while influencing leaders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Support achievement and implementation of OSHA and other regulatory agency requirements.
• Lead incident/injury investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
• Educate and train project team members in safety requirements and best practices for incident prevention.
• Perform health and safety inspections, assessments, and audits.
• Coordinate, review, and monitor non-routine work activities that may impact operations, the environment, or health & safety.
• Develop project plans and timelines based on strategic EHS goals and objectives.
• Partner with departments to recognize hazards and prevent injuries.
• Conduct training, including new hire orientation, compliance, forklift, scissor lift, LOTO, machine guarding, and chemical hygiene.
• Administer EH&S programs, driving participation, data entry, evaluation, and reporting.
• Maintain required records for safety training, inspections, and other EHS tasks.
• Assist associates, supervisors, and contractors on EHS-related matters.
• Manage safety shoe and prescriptive eyewear programs.
• Coordinate hazardous waste shipments and disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) experience and/or chemical safety in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Chemistry, Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of EHS policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Experience conducting incident evaluations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Two years of general industry safety experience strongly preferred.
• OSHA 30 General Industry certification strongly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Comfortable speaking in front of groups.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
