About the role

Provide site-level leadership across a multi-site scope with oversight of 3 direct reports across 3 locations, including laboratory environments. Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and management systems from concept through full execution at IFF’s TastePoint location in Philadelphia (onsite).

Responsibilities

  • Drive a proactive safety culture where safety is embedded as a core organizational value across site operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and local regulatory requirements, as well as internal company standards.
  • Own Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, ensuring effective implementation, sustainability, and continuous enhancement.
  • Lead incident investigations, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurrence.
  • Establish, track, and report key EHS metrics to drive performance, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee risk assessments, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Industrial Hygiene (IH) monitoring, ergonomic assessments, and workplace inspections.
  • Partner cross-functionally (Operations, Engineering, Quality) to ensure EHS requirements are integrated into new products, processes, and capital projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing Process Safety Management (PSM) and environmental compliance programs.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including management and development of direct reports.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable environmental and safety regulations.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and improving EHS programs end-to-end (from design through execution and sustainability).
  • Ability to apply technical EHS knowledge to drive measurable business and safety results.
