About the Opportunity

The Environmental Health & Safety (EOHS) Generalist – Domestic Operations provides vital, centralized EOHS compliance and program support by partnering strategically with business unit leaders and nationwide operational stakeholders. Serving as a crucial, continuous liaison between distributed field operations and the centralized enterprise EOHS division, this role ensures that front-line operational realities actively shape broader corporate safety policies. This position focuses deeply on remote program support, predictive data analysis, training curriculum development, and consultative guidance to strengthen baseline safety compliance and EOHS operational capabilities across all Domestic Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary conduit between regional business units and enterprise EOHS to communicate operational insights, field challenges, and localized feedback
  • Collaborate actively on designing, updating, and implementing comprehensive EOHS programs, corporate safety standards, and operational processes
  • Support the scalable deployment of modern safety tools, standardized templates, regulatory communications, and tailored compliance guidance across all sites
  • Provide remote, high-touch consultative support regarding enterprise EOHS expectations, workplace ergonomics, and regulatory compliance protocols
  • Conduct comprehensive virtual facility assessments, including remote document reviews, facility logs, and historic incident data analysis
  • Aid distinct business units in developing practical, step-by-step safety procedures, standard operating protocols (SOPs), and engineering controls
  • Conduct periodic remote compliance reviews, audit digital safety logs, and coordinate required remediation or follow-up timelines
  • Facilitate root-cause incident investigations for workplace injuries or near-misses and recommend practical, long-term corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Track, analyze, and visualize safety and environmental performance data to actively identify hidden risks and operational improvement opportunities
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute centralized safety dashboards, performance metrics, and compliance reporting tools for executive review
  • Partner directly with corporate training teams to develop engaging EOHS instructional content and deliver high-impact virtual coaching sessions
  • Support ongoing safety culture initiatives through creative internal communication pipelines and proactive employee engagement activities
  • Contribute continuously to the systematic refinement, optimization, and scaling of internal EOHS processes and workplace standards

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive, professional EOHS or occupational safety experience within active operational, clinical, logistics, or corporate settings
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field preferred; or equivalent practical professional experience
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, and other relevant federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations
  • Must possess reliable personal transportation and a valid U.S. driver’s license to facilitate occasional operational travel as needed
  • Preferred Qualifications: Active professional EOHS certification (such as Associate Safety Professional - ASP, Certified Safety Professional - CSP, Certified Occupational Health Nurse - COHN, Certified Industrial Hygienist - CIH, or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager - CHMM); Prior professional experience managing safety compliance for distributed, multi-site, or highly decentralized remote operations; Demonstrated experience in structural EOHS program design, curriculum creation, and virtual training development; Strong analytical, root-cause problem-solving, and systematic incident investigation skills; Proven ability to naturally influence, coach, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders across all levels of the organizational hierarchy; Exceptionally clear written and verbal communication, public facilitation, and long-term organizational skills

Pay Range and Compensation Package

The annual base salary or hourly compensation parameters for this collaborative position will be determined dynamically during the interview cycle. Final compensation placement within the organization's internal scale is calibrated based upon the candidate's core regulatory expertise, safety engineering depth, active professional certifications, and educational background.
