Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

About the role

Vitro Meadville is seeking an EHS Specialist to support the growth of the EHS culture, results, and improvement at the Meadville site. The EHS Specialist will work closely with plant personnel and the Vitro EHS Manager.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and sustain EHS management systems and processes to prevent incidents, injuries, and illnesses.
• Achieve compliance with regulatory and Vitro EHS requirements.
• Work with plant personnel to improve EHS practices and outcomes.
• Support the implementation of behavior-based safety programs.
• Increase team involvement in EHS initiatives.
• Manage industrial hygiene programs to ensure safe working conditions.
• Ensure compliance with worker's compensation regulations.
• Train and educate employees on EHS policies and procedures.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of manufacturing and safety leadership experience.
• Specific technical knowledge in safety, industrial hygiene, OSHA, and/or environmental standards.
• Experience with Site Policies and Procedures and Worker's Compensation Regulations.
• Experience in behavior-based safety, team involvement, industrial hygiene, process safety, and training.
