Environmental Health and Safety Specialist
About the role
Crenlo is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support the EHS Manager. Key responsibilities include assisting with administrative tasks such as recordkeeping, audits, and permits, as well as training personnel on EHS topics.
Responsibilities
- Train and/or coordinate EHS required trainings for all employees.
- Perform incident investigations and lead teams to find the root cause along with corrective actions.
- Aid in conducting Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and working on improvements.
- Aid in conducting Risk Assessments and working on improvements.
- Assist with and participate in site safety, ergonomic or other EHS meetings at all levels.
- Maintain EH&S records in an organized manner.
- Perform internal audits for ISO 9001.
- Achieve annual objectives including: Safety, Environmental, and Cost Savings.
- Conduct Layered Process Audits (LPAs) for Safety, Environmental, Lockout, Machine Guarding, etc.
- Work confidentially to ensure safety and environmental compliance with the Maintenance Department and Engineering.
- Lead Kaizen events for EHS improvements.
- Promote a strong safety culture and enforce all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Requirements

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Safety Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in EHS or a related field.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
- Experience with risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary range of $62,058 - $86,882 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
Pay
The starting salary for this position is $62,058 annually, with potential for growth based on performance and experience.
Schedule
The position is full-time and based in Rochester, MN.
