Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

Responsibilities
- Overseeing EHS programs at business unit level for one or multiple sites to ensure compliance with IQVIA Laboratories Corporate EHS policies and regulatory obligations (e.g., US OSHA, UK HSE).
- Ensuring corrective actions are implemented and documented in response to audits and reviews.
- Maintaining site compliance calendar and verify timely completion of recurring compliance actions.
- Training large groups on safety procedures and governing environmental laws.
- Conducting or coordinating internal site risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify and assess risks.
- Aiding teams with development and assignment of appropriate CAPAs.
- Ensuring adequate management and training of EHS resources within the business.
- Championing site EHS Committee implementation and supporting the Committee Chairperson.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- 2-3 years relevant experience in a site EHS Role.
- EHS experience in a laboratory environment.
- Working regulatory knowledge of environmental and safety laws within multiple jurisdictions.
- Certified Safety Professional and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (or equivalent certification) or eligible for certification.
- Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
- Hands-on experience in wastewater permitting, hazardous waste operations and other environmental and safety laws within California.

- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental laws, and safety standards.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Pay
The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $64,100.00 - $106,800.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
