Environmental Health And Safety Speciailist

This role is a balanced 50/50 split between operational coordination and continuous manufacturing improvement & safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, visual management, and SOP development.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, standardization, and efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to execute improvement projects.
• Provide administrative and project support to the Director of Operations, including reporting, scheduling, meeting coordination, and project tracking.
• Support tracking of key operational initiatives and follow-up on action items.
• Handle documentation for audits, training updates, and assist with orders as needed.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks for the General Manager and HR.
• Maintain OSHA recordkeeping, SDS management, injury and illness logs, and required safety postings.
• Ensure all compliance documentation is accurate, up to date, and audit-ready at all times.
• Prepare and submit required regulatory filings and reports.
• Assist with new hire safety orientation and maintain training records.
• Coordinate internal safety audits and facility walkthroughs.
• Document findings, assign corrective actions, and track completion.
• Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day EHS-related questions from the production floor.
• Escalate safety or compliance concerns as appropriate.

Requirements

• 2-4 years in an operational or administrative role, with compliance experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing setting.
• Exposure to Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially Excel and document management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; candidates with a BA may have less experience.

Pay

$23.00 - $30.00/hour.
