Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of EHS programs, policies, and procedures
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA and all applicable federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations
- Manage EHS data, reporting, and documentation; analyze trends to drive proactive improvements
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; implement corrective and preventative actions
- Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments throughout the facility
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels
- Partner with site leadership to promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate EHS records, including training logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation
- Support workers’ compensation programs, return-to-work initiatives, and injury management
- Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance
- Participate in internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, and leadership on EHS initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience supporting production floor operations and facilities
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements
- Experience conducting audits, incident investigations, and safety training
- Certification such as CSP, CIH, or equivalent preferred
- Leverage Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt experience if applicable
