About the role
Brightstar is an innovative, forward-thinking global leader in lottery. This role supports environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance programs at a high-security printing and distribution operation.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain site-wide EHS programs, standards, and management systems aligned with OSHA, EPA, FDEP, and company requirements.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and hazard assessments while tracking corrective actions through completion.
- Facilitate incident investigations, root cause analyses, and trend reporting to identify and mitigate risk.
- Lead environmental compliance efforts, including permitting, regulatory reporting, recordkeeping, and agency communications.
- Develop and manage EHS training strategies, compliance matrices, and role-based learning programs.
- Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, quality, and security teams to support safe and compliant manufacturing processes.
- Direct emergency response preparedness, Emergency Response Team programs, drills, and incident command activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive EHS experience within manufacturing, printing, packaging, or similar industrial environments.
- At least 3 years of leadership or management experience in an EHS function.
- Demonstrated experience managing ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, FDEP, environmental permitting, compliance reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting hazardous materials management and regulated waste programs.
- Proven ability to influence, coach, and develop leaders without direct operational authority.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related discipline.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification.
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification.
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) certification.
- ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification.
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification.
- Experience leading EHS initiatives within printing or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and environmental laws.
- Experience with hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Knowledge of environmental permits and compliance procedures.

Pay
The estimated starting compensation range is $60,989 - $200,500. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower.
