The Environmental Health and Safety Manager position is located in Sanford, Florida, United States. The role is full-time permanent.

Overview

As the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and health regulations, including ISO 14001 standards and internal procedures. You will take the lead in identifying and resolving complex EHS challenges while driving continuous improvement across the site. In this role, you will help build and sustain a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace, bringing a proactive, solutions-focused approach to everything you do.

Your Challenges

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (OSHA, workers’ compensation, ISO 14001).
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments to identify risks and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, providing root cause analysis and prevention plans.
  • Maintain accurate EHS records, including training, compliance, and audit documentation.
  • Work closely with internal teams, corporate safety, and external partners (contractors, vendors, regulators) to ensure alignment and best practices.

Your Skills

  • Commitment to achieving measurable outcomes, exhibiting urgency and persistence in tasks.
  • Solid communication skills in both written and oral communication, capable of delivering clear, concise, and organized information.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with a focus on EHS activities.
  • ISO certifications in Quality and Environmental Management are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
