Environmental Health and Safety Analyst

Eaton’s Electrical division is seeking an EHS Analyst to work onsite at our Santa Ana, CA facility.

About the role

The EHS Analyst supports environmental, health, safety, and security efforts at the site. Responsibilities include establishing EHS objectives and targets, internal reporting of EHS performance, communication of regulatory requirements, and ensuring documents are available in local languages. The role also involves assuring accurate EHS reporting, closure of MESH and regulatory agency findings, completion of required training, supporting crisis actions, and fostering a strong EHS culture.

Responsibilities

• Supports EHS Leader in setting EHS targets and objectives for the plant, Value Streams, and EHS team.
• Supports the creation of EHS goals and/or objectives for the site manager and leadership team to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results.
• Supports the site in achieving EHS targets and objectives.
• Supports development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives.
• Supports the development and maintenance of risk assessments to identify critical EHS hazards and opportunities for safety improvements.
• Supports tracking of leading and lagging indicators to monitor EHS performance.
• Supports the preparation of reports on key EHS performance indicators for presentation to leadership.
• Supports MESH element champions and facilitates their engagement; leads at least one MESH element.
• Promotes a zero-incident EHS culture throughout the site.
• Leads EHS engagement through teams and committees to accomplish annual targets and objectives.
• Works with EHS leader and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS regulations.
• Supports efforts for third-party recognition of world-class EHS programs.
• Provides support for established EHS data processes such as MESH Suite.
• Conducts EHS training to ensure safe operations and compliance; creates and maintains training matrices.
• Monitors functional trainings to ensure completion across the plant according to the training matrix.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or High School Diploma and 5 years of EHS experience.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• No relocation available; candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of the Santa Ana, CA facility (Active Duty Military Service members exempt).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental management, or a similar field from an accredited institution.
• Experience in environmental compliance, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven track record of safety metric performance and improvement.
• Understanding of Lean Fundamentals.

Pay

The expected annual salary range for this role is $82,000–$120,000, based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

Schedule

Hours are from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
