About the role
This entry-level position involves conducting air emissions testing for industrial clients. The role requires working outdoors or in industrial environments as part of a test crew. Candidates must be willing to travel regionally within the state on a weekly basis, including overnight hotel stays as needed. The role involves working at heights on platforms and climbing smokestacks (50ft–300ft).
Responsibilities
- Support basic aspects of testing projects, including equipment preparation, deployment, staging/breakdown, sample collection, and recovery.
- Conduct on-site field testing and transport testing equipment to customer sites.
- Prepare testing equipment and ensure quality assurance.
- Represent the company professionally at customer sites and in the office.
- Follow test methods, procedures, and processes for quality source testing.
- Apply mechanical and electrical skills to troubleshoot testing systems.
Requirements
- Willingness to work outdoors in industrial environments (extreme heat, cold, wind, etc.).
- Ability and willingness to work at elevated heights on stack platforms up to 300 feet.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to travel weekly in a company vehicle, including overnight stays.
- Physical ability to:
- Stand or walk consistently.
- Bend, crouch, or stoop frequently.
- Lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Climb ladders and/or stairs.
- Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
- Distinguish between shades of color.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background or experience in environmental response/sample collection, mechanical, construction, or electrical work fields.
- Experience with or strong aptitude to learn MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe products.

Pay
The pay range for this entry-level role is $28–$30 per hour, based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.
Schedule
Monday–Friday with some travel (company vehicle provided) and paid hotel stays. Most weekends are off.
