About the role
A Field Technician at West Central Environmental Consultants (WCEC) and SET Environmental is responsible to:
- Ensure the health and safety of the crew, customer, and site by adhering to WCEC/SET safety policies and procedures by identifying, communicating, and mitigating hazards
- Take an active role on crews by participating in both scheduled and emergency response-based projects
- Maintain, clean, and organize trucks and trailers
- Aid in loading equipment and supplies for project needs
- Perform required duties in level A, B, C and D PPE including supplied air as necessary
- Exert moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 50lbs
- Work in a variety of weather conditions
- Support of various environmental projects ranging from, but not limited to: Confined Space Entry, CSE Environmental remediation, Waterway response, Hazardous materials clean up
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as necessary

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Must be over 21 years old
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER or ability to obtain
- Must be flexible to changes in work schedule and be available for On-call
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to perform physical labor under direction of crew leads
- Ability to respond to out-of-town projects as needed
- Ability to speak, read, and write English sufficiently
- Industry/Construction experience preferred but not required
- Valid Driver's License with good driving record that meets SET insurance requirements
