About the role
CDM Smith is looking for an entry-level Environmental or Civil Engineering Intern to join our team! This internship offers hands-on experience across planning, design, and construction while providing opportunities to learn from experienced professionals and build a strong foundation for a career in engineering. You'll work with a dynamic team of industry-leading engineers on a diverse portfolio of municipal, federal, and industrial projects while collaborating with senior engineers, peer interns, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Responsibilities
- Supporting engineering analyses and design efforts on water, wastewater, and environmental projects.
- Assisting with technical reports, calculations, and project documentation.
- Developing maps, figures, presentations, and other project materials using tools such as ArcGIS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and other software.
- Participating in fieldwork and construction management activities, providing exposure to the full project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled and taking courses toward a Bachelor's in Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field.
Pay
Pay range: USD $20.97 – $36.96 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. A candidate’s salary is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, role, function, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
