Responsibilities
- Section Leadership: Guide the daily operations of the Permits Section and ensure that staff complete accurate and timely work
- Permit Oversight: Review engineering documents and permit applications related to water quality and wastewater systems
- Technical Evaluation: Assess environmental impacts, effluent limits, and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Public Interaction: Respond to questions from applicants, consultants, citizens, and partner agencies
- Program Compliance: Monitor adherence to the Permit Decision Guarantee Program and maintain consistent review practices
- Data Management: Use electronic tracking tools to ensure accurate documentation of permit actions
Requirements
This position requires possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists or a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the applicable licensing body of another state. This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license or equivalent. You must possess and maintain a REAL ID or passport for this position. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
