We are seeking an Environmental Manager for our First Quality Tissue Midwest, LLC facility located in Defiance, OH.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain environmental policies, procedures and training programs.
  • Maintain environmental management system.
  • Maintain all air quality control, waste disposal and raw water/wastewater treatment systems.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies regarding environmental programs.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding environmental matters.
  • Prepare all required reports for submission to regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure FQTMW is in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local environmental rules and regulations.
  • Lead the investigation of environmental incidents.
  • Represent FQTMW in community or industry environmental groups.
  • Maintain positive relationships with environmental regulators and departments.
  • Actively participate in the divisional environmental team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, or related field required.
  • Five years of environmental program leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Air, waste, wastewater and storm water permitting experience.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local environmental rules and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and training skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Schedule

First 3 months, training will take place in Anderson, South Carolina and Lock Haven, PA.
