Manager, Environmental Engineering
About the role
The Manager, Environmental Engineering is responsible for orchestrating all facets of a regional energy management and environmental engineering department supporting high-volume manufacturing and non-manufacturing environments. They lead a diverse team of engineers responsible for energy management, environmental compliance, talent management/employee engagement. They support NNA's objectives in facility construction/management, model launches, and manufacturing operations. They frequently interface with executive management and work cross-functionally to improve engineering performance indicators. They contribute to building the Nissan brand and achieving enduring, profitable growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee responses for NML-AB1 requests for information regarding Corporate & Monozukuri energy and environmental performance for the U.S. & Canada.
- Manage and oversee regional internal/external energy and environmental reporting (KPIs, Budget, Compliance).
- Manage and oversee regional integration of ISO and applicable standards across the organization.
- Work with new model engineering on facilities modifications, expansions, or other actions to ensure the facility supports all future model requirements.
- Ensure environmental impacts are calculated and any permitting changes are conducted in accordance with all applicable requirements, policies, and regulations.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in engineering or science (e.g., environmental, math, chemistry, physics) is required. Ten or more years of directly related professional-level Engineering experience and two or more years of people leadership, mentoring, training, and contributing to team development are required. Team is dispersed across multiple locations in the United States and Canada. Expectation is on-site visits requiring occasional day or overnight travel. Must be willing to travel internationally to support the development of the major projects or facilities-related business. Expected travel could be up to 25%.
Qualifications

Pay
The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

This role is full-time and requires on-site work in Smyrna, TN.
