Responsibilities
- Utilizing computer programs/software (i.e. Microsoft office and environmental engineering software) to prepare engineering reports, studies, permits, etc.
- Participating in site visits and/or investigations to assess environmental compliance and identify deficiencies and ensuring compliance with local, state, and/or federal laws, codes, and regulations
- Aid in developing scopes of work and government estimates for environmental projects
- Provide technical expertise in petroleum storage tank and spill preparedness, controls and countermeasures compliance issues, policies, and regulations to promote compliance with environmental laws and regulations
- Develop solutions to environmental problems that will enable customers to meet their compliance requirements
Requirements
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
Qualifications
- Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing computer programs/software (i.e. Microsoft office and environmental engineering software) to prepare engineering reports, studies, permits, etc.; 2) Participating in site visits and/or investigations to assess environmental compliance and identify deficiencies and ensuring compliance with local, state, and/or federal laws, codes, and regulations; 3) Assist with developing scopes of work and government estimates for environmental projects.
Skills
- Must have evidence of having successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination or any other written test required for professional registration by an engineering licensure board in the various States, the District of Columbia, Guam, and Puerto Rico
- Must have successful completion of a professional engineering degree or current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, and Puerto Rico
- Must have completed at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above)
- Must have evidence of having successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination or any other written test required for professional registration by an engineering licensure board in the various States, the District of Columbia, Guam, and Puerto Rico
