Environmental EIT/Designer

About the role

This role involves assisting senior engineers in environmental remediation projects, including design and implementation. You will work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects. You will also assist in feasibility studies, pre-design investigations, remedial design, remedial action, and post-construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Aid in remediation projects by performing tasks such as design and implementation under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Conduct routine engineering assignments using standard techniques and procedures.
• Manage projects with clear objectives and limited variables.
• Collaborate with clients and communities to develop sustainable, cost-effective waste management systems.
• Interpret data and present findings through tables, charts, and maps.
• Participate in fieldwork and travel as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and perform physically demanding tasks in various environmental conditions.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license required for travel.
• Preferred: 40-hour HAZWOPER training, Master’s degree in environmental engineering or closely related field, EIT certification, 10-hour OSHA training, proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and GIS, professional experience with engineering internships, local candidate preference.
• Required: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related field, strong written and verbal communication skills, commitment to safety, ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various environmental conditions.
