Environmental EIT/Designer
About the role
This role involves assisting senior engineers in environmental remediation projects, including design and implementation. You will work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects. You will also assist in feasibility studies, pre-design investigations, remedial design, remedial action, and post-construction activities.
Responsibilities
- Aid in remediation projects by performing tasks such as design and implementation under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Conduct routine engineering assignments using standard techniques and procedures.
- Manage projects with clear objectives and limited variables.
- Collaborate with clients and communities to develop sustainable, cost-effective waste management systems.
- Interpret data and present findings through tables, charts, and maps.
- Participate in fieldwork and travel as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and perform physically demanding tasks in various environmental conditions.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license required for travel.
- Preferred: 40-hour HAZWOPER training, Master’s degree in environmental engineering or closely related field, EIT certification, 10-hour OSHA training, proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and GIS, professional experience with engineering internships, local candidate preference.
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related field, strong written and verbal communication skills, commitment to safety, ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various environmental conditions.

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles are eligible for limited benefits.)
