Summary
Performs administrative and technical environmental compliance duties for the Department of Military Affairs and Veterans Services in support of the New Hampshire Air National Guard (NHANG) Environmental Program.
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of 4 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
- Education and experience must be in environmental science, environmental studies, environmental engineering, natural resources, biology, botany, wildlife, forestry, hydrology, or a related field.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid drivers license
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to satisfactorily undergo a State Police records check.
- Must be able to walk and climb over rough terrain and to occasionally perform in certain field conditions that include a risk of minor injuries and/or exposure to toxic chemicals.
- Must be willing to travel out of state for a week or more at a time to attend training and conferences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations in the environmental field.
AFTER-HIRE REQUIREMENTS
Must pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) used in the performance of assigned work duties and be eligible for renewals as a condition of employment.
