Responsibilities

  • Recycling operations are collected from bear safe bins twice a day. Collected recycling are cleaned and sorted and take to the Teton county recycling center bi-weekly. The cardboard trailer is taken weekly during summer.
  • Cares for outdoor plantings at all locations. Flowers in hanging baskets are watered daily. Other outdoor duties are maintaining walking paths and barrier logs, using a chainsaw to cut up downed trees, digging, trimming, raking, watering, weeding and planting cabin plant beds.
  • Supports trash clean up and litter prevention on property.
  • Removal of invasive weeds on our land assignment.
  • Repairs and maintains mowers, trimmers, and other equipment to ensure safe and proper operation.
  • Observes all requirements for the FRC Hazard Communication Program. Attends training and observes all applicable OSHA and other regulatory compliance programs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required by human resources and the EH&S office. Programs include, but not limited to; respiratory protection, blood borne pathogens, personal protective equipment (PPE), hearing conservation, lockout-tagout, spill prevention, control, and countermeasure plan, drivers safety, and general proper operation of machinery and equipment.
  • Shovels or moves snow as necessary.
  • Building and repairing of fences, log barriers and railings.
  • Assists on construction projects to clean up and/or perform preparation work.
  • Takes down and puts up storm shields, windows and signs.
  • Every maintenance department staff member will be assigned other technical work within the department when maintenance crisis occur with the company or work in their particular technical field is temporarily or permanently reduced.
  • Must clean up your job site and work area when finished with the assigned task.
  • You must be committed to superior guest service and quality standards. As a team member of your department you play a key role ensuring the team's success and achievement of meeting and exceeding our guests' expectations. Our goal is to receive a minimum of 86% on our guest comment scores.
  • The Flagg Ranch Company is entrusted with protecting the environment of the John D. Rockefeller memorial Parkway. As part of this mission you are responsible for carrying out our core environmental values: promote renewable energy, reduction of waste, protection of wildlife habitat, and environmental education. You should strive to preserve, protect and inspire your team members and our guests to join in this effort.
  • You are responsible for working in a safe and healthy manner. You must be knowledgeable of the company's work safe policies and procedures.
  • You must be committed to working in partnership with the National Park Service and community organizations to enhance our guests' experiences. Our goal is to receive only fours and fives on the five point rating scale used by NPS.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High School graduate.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Successful completion of MVR.
  • Preferred knowledge of landscaping and use of machinery such as chainsaws, string trimmers, blowers. Experience driving with a trailer using a skid steer is ideal but not mandatory. A willingness to learn is encouraged as both are used as part of the job.

Pay & Schedule

  • Starting Wage: 17.75/hour
  • Employment Type: Summer Seasonal 2026
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available (Choose your own schedule! Whether you prefer to work days, nights, weekends, weekdays, part-time or full-time, we'll make it happen).
