About the role

Environmental Care Assistants practice proper cleaning procedures to maintain a clean, sanitary environment for the patients, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, and other areas of the facility.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are stocked and in good working order.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of patient rooms and treatment areas as needed.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new cleaning techniques and technologies.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Valid Alabama driver's license.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.

Skills

• Knowledge of infection control practices.
• Basic computer skills for managing inventory and scheduling.
