About the role

The Scheduler plans and generates Assembly production schedules to ensure customer orders are filled on-time and to provide the best sequencing for the most effective use of the production lines. This position requires critical thinking skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a sometimes-stressful environment. It is key to driving our Materials Requirement Planning systems. Additionally, Master Scheduling duties are part of this role. The Scheduler is also responsible for driving improvements in material processes and works as part of the team to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery. This role requires significant interface with Customer Service, Analysts, Warehouse Team, Production, Quality, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Plans assembly schedules in the most efficient sequence to ensure customer orders are filled on time.
• Generates and maintains the daily Liveload schedules for the assigned assembly lines.
• Coordinates with Material Analysts when parts shortages occur to minimize impact to customers and production lines.
• Communicates with Customer Service on drop-in orders, potential late customer orders, and parts issues.
• Works with the Warehouse Team on Renames/Single packs.
• Master Schedules new customer orders for the assigned production lines.
• Releases work orders to production lines and clears Live loads and/or Rebuilds.
• Participates in cost reduction and continuous improvement activities.
• Manages MRP/Oracle/Demantra systems to forecast the Monthly Demand Plan and weekly forecasting for each production line, and maintains the LiveMRP Calendar.
• Runs a Kanban Model Report daily and adjusts as needed.
• Manages inventory levels of Slow Moving/Top 20 Unusable Inventory to meet inventory goals.
• Coordinates with Pilot Spec-Prod Engineering and Sample Coordinator.
• Manages new models’ introductions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong computer skills (Excel).
• Legal work authorization in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations.
• ASCM or other relevant Professional Certification.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
• Oracle experience.
• Experience with Demantra.

Schedule

The general working hours for this role are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Overtime may be required to meet business demands.

Our facility in Lebanon, MO is located on Interstate 44 and Historic Route 66 in the scenic Ozarks of South-Central Missouri. Lebanon has a population of 14,628, with Laclede County at 36,069. The area is known for Bennett Spring State Park, lakes, rivers, hunting, and fishing. Lebanon is home to several boat manufacturers and two stock-car racing tracks. It is centrally located, just 1 hour from Springfield and 2.5 hours from St. Louis. The area offers outdoor activities such as Bennett Spring State Park, the Niangua River, and is 35 minutes from Lake of the Ozarks.

Our plant in Lebanon, MO is Copeland’s flagship operation for scroll compressor assembly and a machining powerhouse for main bearing housings and scroll elements, with over 60 million scroll compressors produced in the past 27 years.
