About the role
This is a wonderful growth opportunity for hands-on experience and mentorship from a team of Engineers and Project Managers. This team works on a mix of Federal and non-Federal projects across the US and the globe. This job is available immediately.
Responsibilities
- Builds analytic and design skills.
- Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Collections and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
Requirements
- Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering concentration or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Due to the nature of the work, must be a United States Citizen.
Qualifications
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Master's degree with a Structural Engineering concentration.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
- Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with clients in a professional manner.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Skills
- Relevant intern/co-op/work experience Academic classes, projects or experience through internships or work that include design experience with concrete, steel, wood, masonry, and/or foundations.
- Exposure to Revit is a plus.
Benefits
The range for this position is $70000 to $80000 per year.
