Entry-level Structural Engineer

About the role

This is a wonderful growth opportunity for hands-on experience and mentorship from a team of Engineers and Project Managers. This team works on a mix of Federal and non-Federal projects across the US and the globe. This job is available immediately.

Responsibilities

• Builds analytic and design skills.
• Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Collections and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Requirements

• Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering concentration or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Due to the nature of the work, must be a United States Citizen.

Qualifications

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Master's degree with a Structural Engineering concentration.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
• Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with clients in a professional manner.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Skills

• Relevant intern/co-op/work experience Academic classes, projects or experience through internships or work that include design experience with concrete, steel, wood, masonry, and/or foundations.
• Exposure to Revit is a plus.

Benefits

The range for this position is $70000 to $80000 per year.
