Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer

Engineering Responsibilities

• Working within multiple design teams to support transportation projects from initial project programming up to and through construction.
• Prepare project plans including but not limited to general plans, typical sections, grading / erosion control plans, drainage / utility plans, profiles, signing / striping plans to support project approvals and construction.
• Support in the preparation the technical reports including design reports, drainage reports, bid documents and cost estimating.
• Complete field work including testing, inventory, and inspections.
• Participate in the construction administration support including shop drawing reviews, reviewing / responding to RFIs, completing periodic site inspections.

Qualifications

• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in civil engineering and consulting with focus in land development.
• B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET- accredited college.
• Registration as an Intern Engineer (I.E.) in NY is preferred
• Understanding of NYSDOT regulations.
• Proficient in the use of MicroStation/AutoCAD as a design tool for the preparation of plans / drawings.
• Able to work within multiple design teams and execute to meet demanding schedules.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or be eligible to work without an employer sponsorship

Pay and Benefits

Pay is based on applicant’s ability/experience and will be rated accordingly. We offer a very competitive benefit package.

Salary Range: $65,000 – $72,000
