Entry Level Police Officer

Requirements

• Must be a United States citizen
• Must be 21 years of age on or before the date of employment
• Must be licensed to operate a motor vehicle
• Must have graduated from an accredited high school or have a Graduate Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.)
• Must be of high moral character and submit to a Computerized Voice Stress Analysis (CVSA) test
• Must be physically and mentally fit for the full duties of a Police Officer
• Must agree to psychological and physical examinations if offered employment

Selection Process

All applications must be completed and submitted with a copy of your valid driver's license and applicable military documentation to the Human Resources Department no later than Noon on Friday, September 25, 2026.

• Physical Agility test will take place at 8:30 A.M. on Saturday, October 3, 2026 OR Saturday, October 10, 2026 (refer to the MPOETC Physical Fitness Assessment Standards)
• Written Exam will be administered the same day to applicants who successfully pass the Physical Agility test
• Applicants must meet the minimum qualification of 70% or greater on the Written Exam and Oral Interview to move forward
• Oral Interviews are projected to take place the beginning of November 2026

All previous applicants will be required to reapply and repeat the application process in order to be considered for employment.
