The City of North Chicago is hiring entry-level officers for immediate openings. Located on Lake Michigan in Lake County, Illinois, the city is 30 miles north of Chicago and 50 miles south of Milwaukee, home to the U.S. Naval Base Great Lakes, AbbVie, and Rosalind Franklin University. The department has 50 sworn officers serving a population of 30,029. Specialty units include Motorcycle, Drug & Gang, S.W.A.T., Traffic, Bicycle, K9, Detective, Task Force, and Drone.

Pay

Starting salary: $82,148 • Top out pay: $120,010

Schedule

12‑hour shifts from 6 am–6 pm and 6 pm–6 am, with every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off.
