About the role

The Johnsonburg Mill is a leading producer of uncoated freesheet paper, serving customers for brochures, direct mail, stationery, checks, envelopes, and hardbound books. It is recognized for its technological advancements and environmental leadership.

Responsibilities

- Operate state-of-the-art equipment and systems in a heavy manufacturing environment. - Work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, including weekends and holidays. - Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe work behaviors. - Possess mechanical aptitude, basic computer and math skills, decision-making, and communication abilities. - Be able to wear safety equipment and perform tasks such as climbing ladders, operating forklifts, and working in a hot and humid environment.

Requirements

- High school diploma or GED equivalent. - Minimum of 2 years full-time work experience or post-secondary education. - Ability to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. - Mechanical aptitude, basic computer and math skills, decision-making, and communication skills. - Flexibility to work in a team environment. - Ability to wear safety equipment and perform tasks such as climbing ladders, operating forklifts, and working in a hot and humid environment.

Qualifications

- Physical endurance and the ability to work in a hot and humid environment. - Ability to operate forklifts, lift trucks, and other motorized equipment.

Pay

- New employees typically can earn an average of $70,000 per year after three years of service to the Johnsonburg Mill.
