Job Summary

Surview Field Services seeks a Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will conduct gas leak detection, perform field inspections, and compile accurate reports while using advanced GIS tools.

About the Role

This role combines fieldwork with the use of advanced GIS tools to visualize and analyze data. No prior natural gas experience is necessary; training will be provided for those with relevant experience in construction, HVAC, or field locating.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and Reporting Gas Leaks: Identify, assess, and report gas leaks to ensure community safety.
• Mastery of GIS Tools: Work with GIS to create visualizations from raw data.
• Supporting Clients: Provide support with FlowGIS and Esri software, focusing on a customer-focused approach.
• Compiling and Communicating Data: Translate daily progress into clear and concise reports for all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Hands-on problem solver with practical experience in construction, HVAC, or field locating.
• Tech enthusiast with familiarity in Microsoft Office and an eagerness to learn GIS tools like Esri.
• Detail-oriented communicator who can clearly convey findings in both written and verbal formats.
• Team-oriented and independent, able to collaborate effectively and take charge of tasks.
• Ready to travel, with a valid driver's license and a company-provided vehicle for fieldwork.
