Entry Level Landscape Architect

Responsibilities

• Be an active member of multiple design teams participating in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents and construction plans.
• Prepare conceptual design plans for multiple project types including support graphics, and calculations to illustrate and support the design intent.
• Design development plans and pattern books for projects requiring Comprehensive Plan, Rezoning, and/or Special Exception approvals.
• Provide graphic illustration support for multiple project types and teams.
• Conduct site analysis studies and prepare detailed written reports to summarize the findings.
• Provide site/civil engineering support which may include grading design, erosion and sediment control, utility layout, stormwater management, and plan preparation.
• Design and layout landscape and hardscape concepts, supporting illustration graphics, construction drawings, and specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
• Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills.
• Strong Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, Illustrator, and Lumion skills required.
• Strong AutoCAD, GIS/ArcView, and Microsoft office skills required.
• Strong design and layout skills required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient mathematic and engineering skills.
• Ability to work and effectively communicate in a team environment.

Portfolio or work samples will be required to be considered for an interview.

The projected range for this position is $72,000 - $74,500 annually.
